How Forecasting Works
Nova analyzes your current net worth, historical trends, income, and spending patterns to project your future net worth over time. Projections are updated automatically as new data comes in from your connected accounts.
Key Assumptions
Projections are based on several factors:
- Historical growth rates of your assets and investments
- Recurring income and expenses detected from your transactions
- Inflation estimates using standard economic benchmarks
- Debt paydown schedules based on your current payment patterns
You can adjust assumptions manually to model different scenarios — like a raise, a major purchase, or paying off a loan early.
Nova vs. SuperNova Projection Features
Nova ($9.99/mo or $99/yr) includes:
- 1-year net worth projection
- Basic trend line based on current trajectory
- Monthly snapshot comparisons
SuperNova ($19.99/mo or $199/yr) unlocks:
- 3, 5, and 10-year projections
- Scenario modeling — compare multiple "what-if" paths side by side
- Monte Carlo simulations for probability-based forecasting
- Milestone markers — see when you'll hit key net worth targets
- Charlie AI commentary on your projection trends
Viewing Your Projections
- Navigate to the Dashboard and tap Net Worth
- Select the Projections tab
- Choose your timeframe (1-year for Nova, up to 10 years for SuperNova)
- Adjust assumptions using the Settings icon if desired
Projections update in real time as your accounts sync. Keep your accounts connected and up to date for the most accurate forecast.
