Understanding your dashboard
Part of our getting started guides.
Understanding Your Dashboard
Your Nova Dashboard is your financial command center — a real-time snapshot of where you stand. Here's what everything means.
Net Worth Chart
The big chart at the top shows your total net worth over time. It's calculated simply: Assets − Liabilities = Net Worth. You can toggle between different time ranges (1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, all time) to see trends. The goal is an upward line — but don't stress about short-term dips.
Asset Allocation
The Asset Allocation breakdown shows where your money lives — banking, investments, real estate, vehicles, crypto, and more. This helps you understand your diversification at a glance. If 90% of your net worth is in one asset type, that's worth knowing.
Recent Changes
The Recent Changes section highlights what moved since your last visit. Big balance swings, new account connections, and notable transactions show up here so you're never caught off guard.
Health Score
Your Health Score is Nova's assessment of your overall financial wellness, based on factors like:
- Debt-to-asset ratio — How much you owe vs. what you own
- Account diversity — Are you spread across different asset types?
- Trend direction — Is your net worth heading up or down?
- Emergency readiness — Do you have liquid savings available?
The score updates as your accounts change and gives you a quick gut check on where you stand.
Charlie AI Insights
Look for Charlie's insights on your Dashboard — personalized tips and observations based on your actual financial data. Charlie might flag an unusual balance change, suggest areas for improvement, or celebrate a milestone.
Making the Most of It
The Dashboard gets smarter as you add more accounts. The more complete your financial picture, the better your Health Score and Charlie's insights become.
