Account deletion

Deleting Your Account
If you'd like to permanently delete your Nova account and all associated data, we've made the process simple. Please read through this page so you know exactly what to expect.
What Gets Deleted
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. When you delete your account, we remove:
- Your user profile and login credentials
- All connected bank account data and Plaid connections
- Net worth history, snapshots, and transaction records
- Subscription and billing information
- All preferences and settings
Once deletion is complete, this data cannot be recovered.
Before You Delete
We recommend taking these steps first:
- Export your data — download your net worth history and transactions
- Cancel your subscription — if you have an active SuperNova plan, cancel it to avoid any additional charges
- Save any records you need — once your account is deleted, we can't retrieve anything
How to Request Deletion
- Log in to your Nova account
- Go to Settings → Data & Privacy
- Click Delete My Account
- Type "DELETE" to confirm
- Enter your password for verification
Your account will be scheduled for deletion. There is a 7-day grace period during which you can log back in and cancel the deletion request. After 7 days, deletion is final.
Alternative: Cancel Instead
If you're not sure you want to permanently lose your data, consider cancelling your subscription instead. Your data stays accessible in read-only mode for 30 days, giving you time to decide.
